From the Desk of Rita: Why I Do What I Do
Hi there,
People often ask me, “Why are you in the security business? How did you get into this field?” The truth is, I married into this industry. My husband’s grandfather started a locksmith business back in the 1950s, and when we moved to Colorado, it just felt right to carry on the tradition. That’s how All Secure was born, and here we are, 20 years later.
But the bigger question isn’t how I got here—it’s why I’m still here.
My “Why”
Of course, part of it is that this is our family business, and I’m deeply connected to it. But beyond that, I stay because I love what we do. I love knowing that we provide people with peace of mind, a sense of safety for their homes, their businesses, and their communities.
Security isn’t just about locks and cameras—it’s foundational. It’s a basic human need, right at the bottom of Maslow’s hierarchy. When people feel secure, they can thrive. And knowing that my work contributes to that for my community brings me immense joy.
A Personal Connection
Let me share something personal. I was a high school senior in 1999. Back then, I thought it was cool to wear a trenchcoat to school. But after the tragedy at Columbine, everything changed. I remember being pulled into the office and questioned because of my coat. I didn’t even know what the “Trenchcoat Mafia” was—I was a thousand miles away in Southern California. But the world changed that day, and so did I.
Fast forward to today, and it feels like crime and tragedy are more frequent, closer to home. Every time I hear about a neighboring business getting broken into, it breaks my heart. I want to reach out, help them secure their space, and give them the tools to feel safe again.
Why Awareness Matters
Awareness is at the heart of what I do. Security starts with being aware—of who’s at your front door, of what’s happening on your property, of potential risks before they become tragedies. Awareness lets us:
• Act quickly when something isn’t right.
• Lock things down before they escalate.
• Enjoy peace of mind, knowing everything is okay.
Awareness can be as simple as knowing your kids made it home safely or seeing who’s at your door without opening it. It’s about bringing the future into the present—automated doors, smart locks, and security systems that work seamlessly to protect what matters most.
A Passion for Safety
I do this work because no child has ever died behind a locked door. I do it because I believe everyone deserves to feel safe in their homes, businesses, and communities.
At All Secure, we’re not just providing locks and alarms. We’re creating peace of mind, one secure space at a time.
Thank you for trusting us to protect what matters most.
Warm regards,
Rita
